It is currently undergoing a location change and is not available until the move can be completed.<br \/><br \/>In the meantime, \r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Nets will be held on simplex frequency of 146.460 on the first and third Thursday of each month\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Zoom meetings will be held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>There will be no nets or meetings on the fifth Thursday of the month.\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe simplex nets are confine it to the greater Lewiston\/Auburn area, as would be expected.\r\nEvery attempt to operate from a location of best coverage will be made.\r\n<br>\r\nLogin information for the zoom meetings are posted on the calendar.\r\n\r\n<\/u<br \/><br \/><strong>See the calendar for up to date information<\/strong>.<\/div>\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Here<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0you will find information about the group, downloads supporting amateur radio programs, applications, and radio configurations, as well as how to get licensed and join the group. <strong>This is The OFFICIAL resource for Androscoggin County ARES\/RACES. <\/strong>Accept no substitutes.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We provide emergency communications for Androscoggin County in the event that commercial communications should be disabled or no longer operate as intended. Our training as communicators gives us the ability to pass and relay messages locally, across the country, and around the globe. We also provide emergency support communications for non-profit special events under specific guidelines.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>RACES<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-54 alignleft\" style=\"color: #000000;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ka1aar.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/races_fem-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service, or <strong>RACES<\/strong>, is what we operate under when called out by a government agency. This service provides specific frequencies for our use as well as limiting operation to only those registered as members of RACES.
